Connect with the peace & joy in your heart
All living beings have the same basic wish to be happy and avoid suffering, but very few people understand the real causes of happiness and suffering. Happiness and suffering are states of mind and so their causes cannot be found outside the mind. The real source of happiness is inner peace. In our attempt to control the world we live in we often suffer from stress, anger and unhappiness. By learning to let go we can develop a calm peaceful mind and experience a lasting happiness and freedom from problems.
On this Retreat we shall learn how to let go of all our problems and worry and find a lasting happiness from within.
This weekend is a wonderful opportunity to gather together to receive spiritual advice and engage in simple and effective meditation techniques through which we can discover a source of joy within our own hearts. Leaving behind the hectic pace and distractions of everyday life, it is easy to discover a deep happiness that arises naturally from within.
The retreat schedule will allow lots of time for quiet relaxation and community, enjoying delicious meals, and exploring the beautiful countryside in the nature reserve.
The retreat begins on Friday evening with supper from 6.30pm and the intro. is at 8.00-9.00pm. We conclude at lunchtime on Sunday. Please note we will be keeping silence until lunchtime and after the last sessions of each day on this retreat.
The Retreat Programme includes:
practical talks and spiritual advice for busy people
gentle guided meditations in the meditation room
stimulating group discussion
question and answer opportunities with Gen Pagpa, the retreat teacher
personal time to share with new friends, take walks in the nature reserve or just be still.
