Gen Pagpa will give practical and inspiring advice on how to gain physical and mental relaxation, develop peaceful and positive states of mind, and experience inner calm.
This weekend group retreat will introduce simple meditation techniques that will help you become more focused, centered and happy. Over three days there will be the wonderful opportunity to settle in to the beautiful and serene environment of the Bodhi Khaya Retreat Centre with like-minded people and to develop calm and clear minds through receiving practical and accessible teachings and guided meditation.
Leaving behind the hectic pace and distractions of everyday life, it is easy to discover a deep happiness that arises naturally from within.
The retreat schedule will allow lots of time for quiet relaxation and community, enjoying delicious meals, and exploring the beautiful countryside in the nature reserve.
Single room, shared accommodation and camping are available.
The retreat begins on Thursday (Freedom Day) evening with supper from 6.30pm and the intro. is at 8.00-9.00pm. We conclude at lunchtime on Sunday. Please note we will be keeping silence until lunchtime and after the last sessions of each day on this retreat.

Gen Kelsang Pagpa is the National Spiritual Director for the New Kadampa Tradition in South Africa. He is also the Resident Teacher of Tushita Kadampa Buddhist Centre in Cape Town and gives meditation classes, half-day courses, day and away retreats throughout the year. Gen Pagpa was ordained in 1996 by his Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.
He is well known for teaching in a light and practical way and shows us how to solve our problems and find true happiness.
